Hats and Mittens
Our classroom bulletin boards are a good indicator of the current season. It’s hard to choose which hat and mittens would keep a person warm out on the playground.
Our classroom Clifford thought it would be fun to go sledding in a boot just like in the story so he hopped into my boot. When props are added to a story, the experience is enhanced for the children.
Here are some of the available activities from this week.
On Thursday I read all three of the books below during the course of the morning. These are simple books with wonderful illustrations that show Cat and Mouse embarking on new experiences. It generated nice conversation about trying new activities or new foods rather than saying “I can’t” or “I don’t like it” without having tried. It was wonderful for me to see the smiles on the children’s faces as the animals succeeded on these new adventures.
