Scarecrows and Crows

In Circle Time we…

  • Practiced name recognition by matching our name cards to the names on our pictures cards

  • Learned “Scarecrow, Scarecrow,” once we rehearsed the song students got to show us their scarecrow poses

  • Talked about the winter bags that went home on Thursday

  • Mrs. Rappaport demonstrated the steps for putting on winter clothes by dressing felt person.

One last thing!

I appreciate your understanding that a blog was not posted leading up to Thanksgiving. I typically travel for the holidays and was unable to post. I do want to share an art project the kids worked on that week; they collaborated making a giant Thanksgiving turkey for the classroom and practiced cutting paper feathers. During circle, everyone took turns saying what they were thankful for and I did get some pretty funny responses. This is normal for three years who live in the moment, so if you didn’t get a shout out I hope you get a good laugh. The feathers will come home next week
