Frogs, Farm, Goats

We had a lot of frogs in our classroom this week with stuffed frogs, frogs in the sand table, and art project frogs. We read books in which the frogs’ favorite activity is eating flies. Some of the activity choices this week were:

Our tour at Wilson Farm was a huge success. Our guide, Heather, did a wonderful job talking to the children and explained many of the things that keep the farm running. My favorite every time is the large vegetable bathtub. We saw many men washing crates of lettuce in the bathtub. I hope your children told you some of the things that they saw at the farm.

How fortunate that the forecasted rain on Thursday did not materialize. Finally, the goats from Chip-in Farm in Bedford came to visit. They were quite docile, happily eating the grass while the children patted and fed them.
