We are counting the days till Thanksgiving. Actually, I’m not sure about the children but I am because of all the preparations I must do before hosting family and friends at my home. The children are enjoying making turkey themed projects along with all the other activities in the classroom.

The children made delicious pumpkin pies this week that have gone home. Every time I told them they are to be eaten on Thanksgiving, I was told “No, they are paper and paint and glue.” I wonder what your child would say if you served them their school pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving.

Our Circle Time turkey family is below. From left to right, they are named Turkey #1, Turkey #2, Turkey #3. We had a lot of fun as children and many teachers took the ‘quiz’ to see if they remember the names. I would point to them and say ‘Who’s this?’ and wait for the answer. It was very exciting every time a teacher entered our room and the children would watch the quiz happen. Lots of laughter and clapping ensued and everyone passed the quiz. Your child may enjoy taking the quiz as you point to the turkeys in the picture.
