Leaves are Falling
Dear Red Class Families,
October has been a month full of learning and fun. We had fun making smoothies, baking cookie bars and roasting pumpkin seeds. We have been working on our letter books. We went on a scavenger hunt. We made leaf men and leaf birds. We had lots of fun in the leaves. We went fishing.
Books and journals on the rug are one of my favorite times of the day. The children have a choice to look at books from the shelf or the book basket or to write in their journals. I love this time of the day because I get to watch the children read to each other. I learn more about their interests and they are learning literacy and practicing fine motor skills.
The children painted the pumpkins with a color of their choice, then picked out sticker faces and then applied tissue paper dots with a glue wash.
We had two special guest readers. Mrs. Reiss came in and read a book and did an activity for Diwali. We also has a grandparent come in and read two stories and taught us a song. We are looking forward to all of you having a chance to come in and read or do an activity too.
See you again soon,
Mrs. Arsenault
