Welcome, Spring!
We spent time in March discussing the change of seasons and what makes a rainbow. Although we did not see a real rainbow, we found some in our sensory buckets as we searched for lucky gold coins. We painted rainbows and made several rainbow themed crafts.
We also had dinosaur week in March to correspond with learning the letter D. It always amazes me how much 4-5 year olds know about the various types of dinosaurs. We had a blast with imaginary play, building dinosaur apartments and other structures. The dinosaurs even made a trip out to the sandbox!
We capped off the month with these adorable self portraits. Each child first painted a background. Then they did a line drawing of themselves which we cut out and glued to the background. It is a fun, fresh take on a classic project.
