Art Projects
Dino Skeleton:
The kids used different shape pasta to create their own dinosaur skeleton. They were given a template, glue, and a variety of pasta. This was great for their fine motor skills and visual planning.
Large Dinosaur:
This was a two day project: The kids were given a choice of two colors and asked to paint a giant dinosaur covering all of the surface.
Once the dinos were dry, they were given a variety of materials to decorate. Due to the open-ended nature of the project, we had a lot of the students that really got into it and put a lot of time into it.
Dino Scene
This project was about practicing cutting skills. The kids were asked to cut out a volcano shape without help. Once they cut out and glued their volcano down, they added lava and stickers.
The kids also began practicing writing their name on the back. Everyone was given their name card to look at, in some cases I would guide their hand, but they were all proud of what they could do!
Sensory Fun
The class celebrated Weston’s school birthday on Thursday. Happy birthday Weston! He turned the big 0-4.
