Art Projects
Sea Turtles:
The turtles were made by brushing glue onto a recycled applesauce container and then covering it with tissue paper. Once the turtle shells were dry, they were glued to foam turtles and everyone had the opportunity to floated them in the sensory table Thursday with styrofoam boats.
CD Fish:
Fins and tails were glued to the backside of CDs, flipped them over, and then eyes and lips were glued to the front. Once the body parts were on, students used their super strong hands to squeeze out glue and add gems.
Jelly Fish Counting:
This was primarily a number identification and counting project. Each child started with a pre-made jelly fish with 5 paper strips attached labeled 1-5. The task was to identify the number above each strip and apply the corresponding number of dot stickers i.e. 1 sticker below the number 1, two stickers on the strip labeled 2, etc.
Easel Art:
Everyone painted waves for our bulletin board using different textured brushes
