Thanksgiving Fun!

This week we enjoyed a "Thanksgiving Feast" with the orange classroom. Our class popped some popcorn, and the other class baked cornbread muffins. The children enjoyed watching and hearing the corn pop in the popcorn maker. The children also had dried cranberries and apple sauce with their feast. We read the book "Thanksgiving is for giving thanks" and talked about things we are thankful for or make us happy.

For our crafts, we made paper plate pumpkin pies and hand turkeys. For the turkeys, the children had their hands traced. I then cut out their handprints. Next, the children painted and glued feathers and facial features onto the turkeys. The children also made turkeys out of playdough by first rolling a ball then adding a turkey head, feathers, straws, and pipe cleaners with beads.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
