All-School Interactive Art Show

Our first in-person All-School Interactive Art Show was a big success! This event is held in late January, taking the place of Father’s Workshop/Winter Workshop. Each classroom features displays of several art projects along with a description of how and why the teachers included them in the classroom curriculum. We look for projects that are not only a great finished product, but encourage development in domains such as fine motor skills, crossing the midline, learning about color and texture, executive function, and following single- and/or multi-step directions.

Children also had the opportunity to create an art project in each classroom, and family members could watch the creative process at work! Marble painting, paper collages, “Seussian” sculptures, and Kandinsky circles were some of the projects that children could create.

We had so much fun actively sharing this part of our curriculum with MWS families!
