Halloween Time
The children enjoyed this week’s activities leading up to Halloween. We enjoyed puzzles, projects, poems, and songs for the occasion in a manner appropriate for 3-year olds without including activities that may be fearful for some. The simple Halloween books that were read gave the opportunity to talk about the fact that under the costumes or masks are children or story characters, such as Corduroy or Biscuit and their friends. The projects enabled the children to tear paper again, use scissors, and stickers. Stickers can be very challenging for young fingers to manipulate so their use is a great fine-motor activity.
