Happy Thanksgiving

We’ve been talking turkey and making related projects this past week. We will continue in the upcoming week culminating in the Thanksgiving holiday break. When I have an audience of 3-year olds, one can never predict exactly what my entertainment will be during Meeting Time. The children consider it completely normal for their teacher to walk around with a turkey tail, and rather than sing ‘Hello’ during our morning song, instead sing ‘Gobble Gobble.’ In fact, during the morning, many children can be heard singing the song (with Gobble Gobble) to themselves while they are playing. On Friday, I read a second book about trucks at the request of a student. We talked a lot about the job of the dump truck. If your child came to school on Friday, ask your child what the dump truck is going to deliver to Mrs. Levine’s house:) Have a nice, safe holiday weekend.

The children know the names of the turkeys in the photo above. Ask them to name them. Maybe he/she will even sing the ‘Hello (Gobble Gobble) song to the turkeys for you.

The children worked very hard on their scissor skills this week by fringing feathers for our large turkey.
