Keeping Busy

Our class is being challenged by Covid, but we are winning the battle. We are all hoping that there are no more new cases in the Orange Classroom and everyone returns to school soon. The absent children are greatly missed and it will be wonderful when we are all together again. It’s interesting to see the different play relationships that happen when many children are absent. This week our small group kept very busy with a variety of activities. Two new kinds of flowers are surrounding our bright Teacher Appreciation sign. The children selected the colors to decorate their tissue-paper flower, and they made beautiful fields of poppies.

The children enjoyed some toys that they had never seen before in the classroom and some familiar ones.

On Friday, the children made pizza at the art table. However, when the pizzas were served to them at snack time, they refused to eat them: “We can’t eat this….it’s paper!”

Here’s the moment when our Circle Time visitor is revealed. But I FORGOT to take his picture! Sometimes I have driven back to school to take the picture, but not today. It was a new dog, white with little blue and purple spots. Your child can tell you how to sing to this friend.
