Happy Thanksgiving

It is exciting to be outside, especially in the crisp fall weather. Last week the children had a great time going for a story walk around MWS. The story was “Duck on A Bike” by David Shannon. We found the story hilarious. We also had animal puppets up in the loft which coincidently matched the animals in the story. It was interesting to see parts of the story incorporated in their play.

Our circle time visitors were Princess Celestia and turkey. We have been talking quite a bit about what it means to be thankful. During one of our circle times each child shared what they were thankful for. It was funny, sweet and heart warming. We also enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast. The orange class made cornbread muffins and the green class made popcorn. We also had applesauce and craisins/raisins. The children have enjoyed making various turkeys during art. They are always eager to share them with you.

During Music and Movement classes we had some more turkey songs and dances. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. I hope you all have a fun filled thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.
