Gingerbread Adventures

It is the last week of school before our holiday break. We started with simple shape houses and then made a large gingerbread house for our bulletin board. The children had fun painting candies and making a number of different gingerbread people. Of course we read lots of stories about Gingerbread boys, girls, puppies, pirates, etc. The highlight was when we baked our gingerbread man and we had to be so careful about closing our classroom doors, in case he ran away. Would you believe, he did manage to run away but luckily Mrs. Reiss caught him. He was delicious!

Most mornings, a few of the girls request music from the Nutcracker ballet (Mother Ginger specifically). They dress up with the scarves and pretend to be Mother Ginger. I guess Ginger is the ongoing theme this month. The children learned to use bells and tambourine in music class.

We also celebrated two birthdays this month with blue and red mini cupcakes.

A big THANK YOU from all the teachers to you wonderful parents for your presence and presents.

Wishing you all a fun filled holiday season and a happy 2025.
