Fall Fun

I had a great time hanging out with everyone who came for the back to school night. The children were so happy to share their classroom and all the beautiful artwork decorating our bulletin boards with the parents and siblings. We made our autumn pictures using Q-tips, foil, torn paper, Ziplock bags etc. The children get the same materials and instructions but the interpretation and creativity is all their own. It is pretty amazing to see how each picture is distinct in its own way. There are times when we can recognize the “artist” from the picture they made. Their personality shines right through their art.

Did you hear about your children (and teacher) growing tails? We sang the song “Gray Squirrel, Gray Squirrel swish your bushy tail”. Ask your child to sing it for you. We also had an entire family of squirrels visit us at circle time. The children loved hugging each squirrel and then passing it to the child next to them.

We are so happy to have Ms. Blum, our green room’s new teacher join us in the mornings to play with the children. Enjoy the beautiful weather.
