Thankful
Last week the Red Class joined together with the Yellow Class for a Thanksgiving feast. The children wore their turkey hats, and each talked about what they are thankful for before sitting down to eat. The feast consisted of Native foods such as popcorn, cranberries, blueberries, cornbread and apple juice.
All month long we have been adding to our classroom tree. The apples and leaves came down, and they were replaced by crows, scarecrows and turkeys. It was very exciting when one day we saw a real turkey walking in the yard outside our classroom. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a picture!
Here are a few more pictures of the children at various points throughout our day…
I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for everyone in our school community!
