Cold Hands…Warm Hearts
During the month of February, we spent time discussing bears and hibernation. Some children read books to bears while they were awake. We all made a bear with sleeping eyes for the cave in our classroom. We will send the bears home in the spring when they wake up!
We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a special card for our families, a hand decorated mailbox and a special snack. We “mailed” our valentines to our classmates and made special hearts for our tree. To make those hearts we rolled marbles in paint.
The children enjoyed making different types of felt snowmen.
Building is still a favorite activity with everyone. Lately, the waffle blocks are usually the first to come down from the shelves when we are in the Big Room.
This has to be one of our favorite things built. It is a food truck including its very own ice cream cone delivery service. Notice the scoop and ball cones that are inside the waffle blocks? Those ice cream cones were personally delivered to us throughout the morning. How creative are these children?
Sometimes a face says it all!
We used the Triangle in music class. It was so much fun…
We played outside each day the temperature permitted us to. It was cold but so much fun!
How can you not LOVE prek art?? We do!!
Lastly, we were visited by a princess that had just come home from Disney World. The excitement from this child as she told us about her trip was so fun!
Spring is coming! Let us count the days. Please try and stay warm!
