Off to a Great Start!
We had a super fun first full week of school! The children are enjoying getting to know one another, and they are easily adjusting to their new school routine. We built with blocks, played with shaving cream in the sensory table, painted at the easel, and read many wonderful books including Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes.
We also went for a nature walk and explored the grounds around the school. Each child had a magnifying glass and a bucket. They had such a good time exploring and collected items to bring back into the classroom for further observation. They saw spider webs, dandelions, flowers, ants, and seeds. They loved this activity! We can’t wait to go on more walks especially as the seasons change.
The Big Room is a big hit with the Yellow Class! Here we are climbing the “up down go through”, rocking in the boats, building with the large blocks, and spinning.
It was a very busy week, and we are looking forward to many more. Have a great weekend!
