A Mo Willems Week

This week I found out that children love the Elephant & Piggie and Pigeon & Duckling books. Our book basket was filled with them and the children seemed disappointed that there was only enough time each day to read 2 of them. It’s unusual to hear “Another book” but it sure happened this week.

Every day the children made a project based on the characters. Often some children don’t want to stop playing to come to the art table or say ‘not now’, but this week everyone wanted to get their project made as soon as a space at the table was available. Our bulletin board is full..

I was fortunate to be able to shop at the LexFun Consignment Sale last week. The children enjoyed our new toys shown below.

The children had to use their fingers this week to put beans in small tubes and screw on the tops. On Friday the children were treated to pancakes that were left over from the Pancake Breakfast and stored in our school freezer. Though I was not at school to enjoy the pancakes I was told that it was a big hit.
