Gingerbread Man Time of Year

December is always a time for gingerbread in the Orange Classroom. The children enjoy making many different gingerbread man projects, playing with gingerbread man toys, and singing gingerbread man songs.

At the beginning of the week we had a new visitor to our Circle Time. Princess Celestia visited and we were able to hear her many messages each time I pressed a special button on her. Her wings light up and some of her messages are “I love making new friends”, “Fly to the castle with me”, “I will light the way”, and “My hair is so beautiful.” She was replaced by our many gingerbread man friends in the latter part of the week, but had to be very careful to not be eaten by the tricky fox.

We have many variations of the gingerbread man story and everyone enjoyed their sensory buckets on the days we had extra time before going to the playground.
