Monsters, etc.

This is a short post for short week. On Monday, the children enjoyed making monsters for our bulletin board. They chose a color for the face and then used as many and whichever features to complete the face. Everyone is unique and fun to look at.

On Monday this friendly lion visited us during Circle Time. On Tuesday, after Mrs. Reiss saw our monsters, she found two monster friends to join us. I have heard that on Thursday, when I was not at school, a blue monster arrived. We had a lot of children and visitors on our rug this week.

Did you hear about our crazy, mixed up day on Tuesday. Due to scheduling conflicts with the shared spaces at school, we had a mixed up schedule. I’ve written in the past about the fact that children thrive within an environment that has a predicable routine without much variation. Some children react easily to change, some are more reluctant. We made our crazy, mixed up day into a day of excitement by presenting it as the ‘most fun ever.”
