Spring Snapshots

After many long, gray winter days, The Red Class was ready to welcome spring. We spent some time talking about colors and rainbows. We also explored color mixing with finger paint. The best part of process art like finger painting is the comments that the children make while they are doing it.

It feels like slimy, sloppy goo.

Blue and red make purple!

I can write my name in it!

I wonder what it’s going to turn into.

At first it made two different colors, now it makes this red.

Each day we have plenty of time for building, creating and imaginary play…

We have also been busy in Creative Movement class doing different types of dances. Mrs. Lyng was impressed with how quickly the children learned them!

Everyone seems to have a bit of extra energy this time of year. As the weather gets warmer, we will be spending more time outside on the playground as well as the patio. We are looking forward to more fun filled days!
